Well. Probably more than you'd think. Especially if you include the number who didn't have a partner, but did have access to any phallic objects that could be safely inserted...and those that couldn't. According to ER anecdotes I've heard, people don't need much incentive to stick things up their butts.

Oh my god, I remember the concrete one from long ago (unless there were two, god help us all). The report I read added a remark about the cement cast being a perfect replica of the inside of man's ass and I laughed and laughed.

I want to say the story I read originally included a photo but I may have googled to find out what an anal cast might look like and conflated whatever I found with the original article.

I just... how is "I slipped and fell, while naked, onto a potato while hanging curtains," less embarrassing than just admitting you like some ass stimulation? I mean, I know I'm probably biased but whoever you tell this story to is going to imagine you stretched upwards, wobbling, naked, in front of a window above a menacing looking potato.
