Is it bad that the thing that pisses me off the most about the link is the suggestion that any kind of 'crotch-rash' must be caused by sex?

I started getting rashes there
when I was
thirteeen
it's a fucking sensitive area D<.

Yep, it sure is. I've never had sex, so I haven't had any guys give me that crap, but I get rashes down there if I shave my thighs or bikini line (which is basically the reason I stopped shaving my bikini line - I just wear shorts over my swimsuit now which works because I hardly ever go swimming - and only shave my thighs a couple times a year). Really nasty itchy red bumpy rashes that look just as bad as the hair itself. >___>

Also, my sister had shingles Down There once. And when I had scarlet fever, I had a rash on my thighs because of that.

Basically, it's slut shaming and ignorance all wrapped up into one, topped off with a wallop of entitlement and bathed in disrespect :D

Then there's yeast infections, thrush (which is a kind of yeast infection, but w/e), irritation from sanitary pads, folliculitis... honestly there's probably more ways to get groin rashes without having sex.

When I was 18/19 I spent several months trying to get rid of a nasty folliculitis outbreak. I am sure it would have been a great comfort to know that it was caused by all the sex I wasn't having!

Also irritation from shaving is the worst. I can still get away with shaving my upper thighs but I had to stop shaving under my arms. :(

Thanks for causing me to Wikipedia "folliculitis" :D

Man, I hope I never have to stop shaving my pits. They do get a little irritated after I shave but it's not too bad...I really hate armpit hair though =/

For some reason I am extraordinarily prone to folliculitis. Hopefully I have grown out of it! (It's mostly a childhood and puberty thing.)

Tbh I also stopped shaving partly because I quite like underarm hair. Would have soldiered on if it really bothered me.
