I'm in love with the non-Glass Glassian theme of Fringe.

Clint Mansell sold me ME3 on the basis of this little brilliancy. Unfortunately nothing else about the game came close in emotional subtly. (Grunt's tender little piano solo mid-game comes close.)

I was also impressed that Led Zepplin had a run on movie-trailer music. You can't really go wrong with Page's chord sequence for Kashmir after all.

Then there's Ennio Morricone and the combination of in-world and out-of-world music.

And of course, Quincy Jones' classic Streatbeater, probably the coolest TV theme from my childhood.
