idk, either way, I really hope what they meant was "this is why I like it", which is totally fine, but not what the wording implied.

Yeah, I'm thinking troll, too. They ignore context entirely.

I'm generally not a fan of saying that someone is looking for something to be offended by, but this is an example where that seems accurate. Why would you follow so many people just to reblog their posts to complain about them? I'm sure I could find a lot of stuff I find annoying/offensive on Tumblr, too, if I were inclined to expose myself to it.

I could be a little biased since they give off the same 'feel' as a couple of people I've known who've actually held those or similar beliefs. ^^;;

I have no idea. I comment, I follow, I communicate, I PM and Whisper and try and chat with people but nothing ever seems to come of it. I beginning to think it's just me and there's something off or wrong about me, as silly and sad as that sounds.

I understand. I'm just not good at making friends. I never have been. Making them IRL is hard enough. Making them in fandom is basically impossible for me.

The artist who drew this said himself that this was for an article on "the end of feminism" so he drew a sexed-up version of Rosie The Riveter getting ready to look pretty for her man.
I really don't get why so many people use this as their icon or find it "inspiring" or positive in any way... blech.

This happened to me... RIGHT DURING MY PERIOD. And just this past weekend. It didn't help that I found fic of my OTP having post-battle adrenaline/hormones sex.

Yeah, they make some reasonable points occasionally. And some of the stuff they reblog to complain about would annoy me if it showed up on my dash, too. But that just begs the question of why they're apparently following all these people who post pictures/memes/etc. that they find offensive or insensitive.

If it helps any, as far as the Doctor goes 7x03 could almost be a s4 Ten episode.

7x04... yeah, I got nothin', it's basically a last hurrah for the Ponds so not much point if you're not a fan of them.

See is going to get rich, and stay rich, with or without you. Whether the books/movies are actually any good, is irrelevant at this point.

Thats really rough. If you're looking for advice, I have a few bits to offer.

1. Check different sites. Some fandoms are all on LJ, some on ff.net, some mostly on tumblr, etc.

2. For the fandoms where you ship unpopular pairings or like unpopular characters, sign up for exchanges or offer to trade a prompt for a prompt.

3. Write fic/draw art/write meta about the things you love, even if it doesn't seem like anyone else is interested. There's a lot of characters, pairings and fandoms I never really liked until I saw them from the perspective of someone who really got them. I've even converted a few people myself.
