Slytherins can be good people, though. Look at what you did. You put a lot of effort and dedication into a long term project that was important to you. Slytherins get things done.

I'm torn... most of these posts are incredibly ridiculous, but I have to agree that this

is the worst shirt ever.

Wait, I misread the post - they were responding to "I’ve done it. I’ve found the worst shirt ever to exist" with "I’m sure the creator of this short is sorry for liking things that you don’t you elitist oppressor." Troll it is. Either that, or this is the person they call in when a party has gone on too long and they need to clear the building, fast.

My best (only?) fandom friends have come from shipping a minor pairing for years and pairing that with lots of random discussion about the show they came from. Idk, something about the isolation from the greater ship wars of fandom and the die-hardness of devotion just strengthens the bonds of friendship.

To me the show has always been just as much about the companions as it is the Doctor (this might be because I came in during RTD's era, where I felt one of his greatest strengths was the companion focus).

But yes I could probably handle disliking a companion more. I like Amy, but I can't stand Eleven and I dislike Rory, so... lol two out of three kind of screws me over.

Because I miss TMIing up this joint.

I get hornier before, during, and after. But mostly during so... I feel you anon. It's pretty inconveinent. I feel for guys because they always have to clean up each time. But they have longer refractory periods so maybe cleanup evens out?

Apparently women hit their sexual peak in their thirties. This is slightly terrifying for me.

Not trying to start anything, but I thought that was for trolls? Just seemed like the people who kept talking about it were all the self claimed or wank loving trolls.

Personally, my favorite plot twist of all time (at least that I can think of right now) would have to be Sissel's identity in Ghost Trick. I'd thought the game had reached its best point when Yomiel showed up (seriously, that part with the teapot really freaked me out) but the ending of the game made everything else pale in comparison.

Also, the mastermind reveal in Dangan Ronpa was spectacular, not least because of everyone in the thread's reactions.

And, while it didn't have nearly the same impact on me because I knew it was going to happen going into the series, the sudden tone shift in episode 3 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica was very well executed. I really want to dig up forum posts or w/e from the time, just to see how people reacted to the initial shift.

Same. But I'm not even sure that a new writer could redeem Eleven for me. I assume they'd stick to Moffat's established characterization of him (loose as it is), after all.

I hope he leaves ala RTD, when Eleven regenerates into Twelve, and I hope it's soon.

The odd thing is, Percy is my second favorite character in the series. Because he's oddly complex once you look at him. Middle child, two older brothers were effortlessly brilliant, and Molly is always pushing all of her sons to success through hard work, and Percy believes in hard work. In the earlier books, it looks like her really, really wants to impress his father, be just like him, etc. But there's his obsession with The Rules.

Because he is just old enough to remember the War. He's probably just old enough to remember his mother crying when her brothers were killed. But even if he doesn't remember that, he remembers The Bad Times. Fred and George would've been two, not much memory. Bill and Charlie would've been about, what, eight or nine? Old enough to understand more about what's going on, old enough that they could get some explanation for a few things (even if it wasn't the whole explanation). Percy would've only been about three or four--all he would have grown up knowing was "follow the Rules, or people DIE."

He's actually a very protective older brother, something I'll always relate to. His letter to Ron in OotP is enough to make me spit nails, but read from his PoV, it really is him trying to protect his baby brother even though he can't see him. And the thing is, Percy is very right about one thing--being friends with Harry is dangerous. Ron faced down deadly challenges in the first book to get to the Stone, because Harry was going. In the second, he went down into the tunnels, with Harry, and nearly got killed by a basalisk. In the third book, he had his leg broken by the deranged Death Eater and fugitive murderer, Sirius Black. In the fourth book, he's taken to be Harry's token (not quite as deadly, but from a mother-hen-esque older sibling's perspective...) If that had been my younger sibling, I'd've beaten Harry off with a stick.

I mean, Percy is super wrong, super-pig-headed, and oh-so-very stuck on himself. But he's got a certain amount of depth, and I think a lot of it revolves around protecting his younger siblings.

Which is, I think, why it was him and not George who had to watch Fred die. Everyone was banking on Percy getting death as punishment for his actions, but losing a younger brother was more on-the-nail.

Until Eleven. I seriously can't even connect him to the Doctor. It does not work in my mind.

I'm not familiar with Classic Who, so I don't know if maybe Moffat is channeling earlier DW?

Some people say this, but I don't really agree?

Omg good keep playing. Each ending unravels the story a little more. Which ending did you get first?

The twist in the middle of Fingersmith. I was just gonna finish that chapter and then go to bed and then...suddenly I was wide awake for another three hours because holy shit.
