Very well said, on all accounts.

Actually, I can think of one criticism for Hufflepuffs:

They're loyal, but mostly/only to their friends. Notice how in the books the Hufflepuffs huddled together in groups and were ready to defend each other, but didn't jump in to defend those that they considered "others".

They're the type that prefers to avoid confrontation unless they absolutely have to, not out of any ill-will, exactly, but this leads to an inaction when confronted with evil situations that aren't affecting them directly, which gives them the reputation of cowards.

If they had more "Gryffindor courage", this can change, of course. (See Cedric, who was very brave and I can't remember if we ever saw him in the books disrupting nasty situations, but I get the feeling that if he saw bullying going on outside his House he would totally jump in and stop it.)
