Is this a comic? Is the art in it as pretty as it looks like in this secret?

It's a comic, but I can't tell you if all of it's as pretty as the art in the secret. From the bits I've seen, it seems like?

it's called journey into mystery and no, interior art isn't as pretty as cover art, but it's tolerable to good.

wtf why did a different person do the cover than did the interior? Is that normal in western comics? Seems like false advertising.

yes. it's actually the norm. very rarely a cover artist also does interior art.

the reason for this is because comics are usually monthly (sometimes bi-monthly) and some lovely artists don't work as fast as that sort of schedule requires, or are busy with other, better paid gigs.

Almost all the covers (including the one in the secret) are done by Stephanie Hans, but the interior art was done by a variety of different people. The very first artist, Doug Braithwhite, did some really gorgeous art for the series, but the next couple weren't very good. The one that was with the series from 633 to the beginning of 637 (? I think?) wasn't bad, but it was definitely not as gorgeous as the covers.

Stephanie Hans did the last issue's interior, so it's the most beautiful of all the issues.

argh why the fuck didn't she do all the interior art if hers is so lovely??

Because scheduling/work speed/etc doesn't work like that in western comics. She probably had a TON more time to spend on those covers than the interior artists had on their pages.

Braithwhite and Hans were the best. I loved their issues.
