Is this a comic? Is the art in it as pretty as it looks like in this secret?

It's a comic, but I can't tell you if all of it's as pretty as the art in the secret. From the bits I've seen, it seems like?

it's called journey into mystery and no, interior art isn't as pretty as cover art, but it's tolerable to good.

Almost all the covers (including the one in the secret) are done by Stephanie Hans, but the interior art was done by a variety of different people. The very first artist, Doug Braithwhite, did some really gorgeous art for the series, but the next couple weren't very good. The one that was with the series from 633 to the beginning of 637 (? I think?) wasn't bad, but it was definitely not as gorgeous as the covers.

Stephanie Hans did the last issue's interior, so it's the most beautiful of all the issues.

i'm glad old loki is back, it's just a pity kid loki couldn't somehow stick around, too.

Yep. But don't the villains have a high rate of recidivism? At least, when I was reading, even if they were good for a while, they never STAYED good (I'm thinking Magneto, specifically).

Okay, I admit my knowledge of JiM fandom comes mostly from tumblr, but I can't remember many people expressing a desire for old Loki to come back.

There were maybe one or two tumblr fans that wanted old Loki back, but the majority of people that wanted him back were the oldschool fans that hung out on comic book forums at other sites.

I really love both ages of the character equally, but I guess I felt like it was time for his older self to step back and let something a bit more fresh take over. I know he's been fleshed out as a character since before JiM but JiM felt like a logical next step for me.

I wouldn't say I wanted the adult one back...but given the success of the Avengers (top grossing film ever that was not made by James Cameron) him becoming an adult felt inevitable.

He will probably physically age up again soon, too. Remember Doom's Loki clones?

THIS. Why are people having such a hard time grasping this concept? Kid Loki was Loki without that much history, current Loki is Kid Loki+History. That means there is a good potential in him.
