I'm not embarrassed by any of my fandoms in general, but I am embarrassed by my OTP's fanbase.

I also don't like admitting that I like Justin Bieber, but that's less because I'm embarrassed by other fans of him and more because I'm sick of getting jumped on by haters.

Yeah, the hate Justin Bieber and his fans get is just ridiculous. I don't especially like him, but seriously? He's really not done anything to warrant the amounts of hate he gets. Yeah, he used to have kind of a squeaky voice and he has a lot of preteen girls as fans. Big deal. The way people act you'd think he had a habit of kicking puppies or something.

My OTP's fanbase is kind of mortifying. The whole place seems to be full of excruciating Carry On style ribaldry. IDGI, cause the characters are fierce and the canon's not at all like that.

Honestly I didn't even know who Justin Bieber was until I went onto more general internet sites and saw tonnes of hate posts about the guy, I don't care either way about him and still don't but I would much rather have his fans off squeeing in their part of the internet because I won't see any of it. His haters? I can't fucking escape them because they get everywhere.
