Oh man. This show was my gateway drug into fandom. Mainly, I think because the premise was awesome and the execution was so terrible. I have seriously fond memories of using the computer at the library after school to print Kristine William's fic, ten pages at a time so that I didn't have to pay. All the while praying that the librarian (who was my best friend's mother) wouldn't glance at what I was printing.

I was on quite a streak for a while of shows that were flawed, but talked to me. Mag 7, The Sentinel, seaQuest... Those plot holes and unused potential are what got me to start writing.

tl;dr - Yay for nostalgia!

Oh yeah, pretty much the same for me. It was definitely my gateway drug - the first show that made me actively go looking for fanworks on the internet. Also, I thought Richard Burgi was extremely hot. *g*

There's a lot of other stuff in my past connected to this show - analogue life things, even my name - so I guess I'll always love it simply for nostalgic reasons.
