Isn't that mainly about Scandinavia?

Isn't Scandinavia, like, the place with the LEAST things happenning at the moment? How can that teach you anything of current events?

(Unless you live in Scandinavia, in which case... don't you kinda get that infomation from people around you anyway?)

WHITE WHALE! We got a Moby Dick whale!

How can't the world be excited about that! Also Sweden won the Eurovision this year, and they didn't give us Norwegians any points. We hate them a bit more than usual right now (but we always beat them in any kind of skiing competition so it's okay.)

Oh and skiing season is starting, so that's what's up. Oh and English might be a Scandinavian language.

Okay nothing exciting happens in Scandinavia.

Maybe they're saying it teaches them about current events in Scandinavia, and they aren't in Scandinavia? I'm sure Scandinavia has plenty of current events, I just haven't heard about any of them.

Nah we don't have current events we still ride around on polar bears and eat reindeer meat. We don't even have gouvernements!

For realz though, stuff happens up in the cold north too, we just don't really have stuff big enough to reach the rest of the world.

Or at least not since the Mohamed drawings and Utøya, oh and The Nobel Peace prize, which this year went to the EU (I am convinced they got it as a "good on you Europe for not having started WW3 yet")

Government is the same in UK and US English, so even though I mainly write in UK English, I still have no excuse using a French word.
