Anywho, I don't see her changed all that much, though I do wish the writers would have her stand up to Booth a little more on some of his shit. Like the house thing. And her cooking thing cause she wanted to do it every now and then. Sheesh.

(Anonymous) 2012-12-03 06:27 am (UTC)(link)No, it's not about whether intelligent and independent women can or can't be mothers. They obviously can and should if they want to. It's about twisting a fictional character into someone who she never before was. It's bad writing and characterization. Character development is damn important if you want your viewers to believe that character X is still X instead of them going "who the hell is this and what has she done to X". Not to mention, if the whole premise is an intelligent woman doing intelligent work at work, the audience has every right to be disappointed when the show turns into a (an intelligent, not that it's imporant anymore) mom taking care of her baby.

She is still Brennan, still does her job, still stresses over her priorities. She just happens to have a kid now. Of which she, rightfully, is protective of. Did someone not see ANY of the episodes dealing with her personal abandonment issues with HER family? There's a reason she's very protective over Christine. But she's not "mom crazy" like others are believing. She still does her fucking job. So does Angela. They don't let their kid rule their lives like some characters have before. If anyone has, it's Booth, but he's always been rather kid crazy what with Parker and all.
Seriously, the amount of hate I'm seeing here is just making me side eye you people like crazy. Kids don't fucking ruin everything, jesus.
