I think...I may have just a little bit of faith in humanity.

Seriously OP, any comic of that style isn't the best place to learn about any type of world events since they tend to over-simplify too much at best, and at worst show the creator's biases and veer into being both horribly unfunny, and pretty damn offensive sometimes.
