3. Kairi just sucks in general. I hated her regardless of Riku or Sora or whoever. She's obnoxious, she's completely perfect, can't even cry---no what does she do? she giggles and smiles because she is just soooo warm and loving blah blah blah BARF and has no emotion except for the 'perfect ones' ala Gabriella in HSM2. No personality, just angelic all around and even when she's mad she makes the person she's yelling at look bad!

I want to punch her in the face, if Kairi hadn't of been nice to Riku,made him and Sora 'reunite', (and act like she was depressed...she barely talked and had no enthusiasm in kh2, I semi-liked her in KH1 when she had, you know, a personality) in the second one I bet half the fangirls that say they love her wouldn't.

Considering most of them are rabid Riku fans who try to seem all dignified when honestly most of them look down on anyone who even DARES suggest anything bad about they're precious Riku. I mean, have any of you SEEN how he's portrayed in fanfiction? He's good looking but he's no some sex god... *rolls eyes*

I agree with the Kairi thing to an extent. I dislike Kairi only because to me, she's too vanilla. She's too typical. I mean, she's a nice girl that cares about her friends, but that's it. She's just a nice girl. She also doesn't give me much to work with if I trying writing her in fanfiction.

LOL at the Riku sex god thing. I tend to make fun of that when I write fics with him in it. I mean, honestly, he's a sixteen year old boy. An attractive boy, but a boy nonetheless. I much rather have a man that isn't pixels, thank you very much. Although, Leon/Squall/Squeon? is kind of hot. But that's just me.

Exactly! Where's the interesting quirks? The habits that set her apart from the others? She may not be a keyblade master but that doesn't mean Nomura had to give her the default 'female love interest' role and no defining characteristics!

Same here, I don't think he'd be all too popular in a high school anyway, if it's Kh1 then he's too arrogant but still some would like him, but I can't understand why anyone would want to sort through all of his emotional drama if it's Kh2 Riku. Not to mention at age 16 it's cool to make out and stuff but sex? Yeah....not where I go to school. 'Squeon' xD

Kairi's defining characteristic, to me, is that she is the love interest (which I don't think isn't fair). I mean, I can do more with Olette and she's barely in the game! (Olette needs more love, she's an intelligent character people! don't make her gaga over roxas/hayner, she has better things to do thnx)

I didn't like how Riku looked in KH1, but I will admit that Riku is a good character, maybe a bit dramatic (all teens tend to angst at some point in their lives) but he made a good anti hero. He also is the best (in my opinion) character to represent a lot of teenage males (the jealousy, the self confidence issue, etc. etc.) But I'm a dork so don't take my word for it.

That's true! I love Olette, and we know more about what she likes than Kairi! I mean, shopping, sea salt ice cream, going to the beach. She also has some responsibility when it comes to getting school and stuff done when the others focus on having fun. Ok you know all that, but I was trying to list what I could think of Olette's character...:P

Yeah,he's realistic since he has problems and is insecure but he can overcome them with a little help.

I have an open mind towards all of it,yaoi, yuri, etc. I just don't read what I'm not particularly interested in and don't look down on other people for having different interests than me that I may not agree with.

Uh... Did you miss the part of the game where she was willing to fight Saïx to get the hell out of that castle, jumped from a three storey building, and grabbed a keyblade to fight? Oh, and look, about two of those events show something about her: She may not always think things through! =DD See, flaw!

No I played through the entire thing :)

1.That was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen, she has no fighting abilities and probably assumed that someone was coming to rescue her (Namine had powers so she could help her anyway) as the always do 2. Now that's just being in a video game, I would jump two if I knew I wasn't real and wouldn't die...Riku jumped down an entire building and practically walked on it. 3. Riku and Sora had one so she probably thought she could use one to help too.

All of it is adding to her 'I am the perfect heroine of light' theme. I think she just goes along with whatever riku or Sora is doing has done, but I see what you mean about the not always thinking things through. Like when she just blindly ran into a portal full of darkness...not exactly the smartest thing too do ^^;
