Actually, it probably just said "don't steal" because it was for their own personal use. One of my friends does that with her fanart icons, since she doesn't want to put them in an iconpost with her other icons. (A shame, too, since they're quite nice. To eich their own, I guess ~)

But yeah, they probably didn't mean it in a bad way. They may have been doing it because it was a fanart icon, out of courtesy or something.
