That's kind of surprising, though. I mean, the kind of jobs his show is(/was?) all about seem like they'd be either (a) egregiously underpaid or (b) have unions protecting the workers. How do you do a show like that and NOT be a Democrat? *mind boggles*

Oh, honey, no, it didn't. It really didn't. Networks don't cancel profitable shows for reasons like that.

There are a lot of people in Hollywood who support Republican nominees, some of them loudly, some of them less so but who also make no great secret of it, either. They are not suddenly booted from their shows because of it.
