Um...what the subject line says. Ever have a pairing whose concept/dynamic/aesthetics/possibilities/whatever made for really hot porn that you loved reading, even if you didn't ship the pairing as a romantic couple at all and didn't want the two characters to get together?

Zoro/Sanji from the One Piece fandom. It's the most popular slash pairing and all the best slash writers do hot scenes of them. They're also very strong, fierce chapters that beat the shit out of each other, so it's hot reading about them pushing each other up against walls.

Unfortunately I hate Sanji as a character, and Zoro's getting a bit dull now too.

I hate that pairing. I feel like I should like it, but...yeah. No. Mostly because I dislike Sanji, but also because, uh...pretty sure that despite what most fic authors seem to think, Sanji and Zoro don't actively hate each other.

Unfortunately, you're right. They get the best fic outside of incredibly obscure pairings that only have one great fic to get you addicted, and then nothing, not even bad fic.

The fanart is also really good. But the extent to which I DON'T ship it means I'm just left cold and a little angry at it :/

Buffy/Faith. I love the friends-to-enemies Chosen Two hatesex dynamic in my smut, but I don't particularly care for Buffy as a character, so I don't ship them outside of that.

I also have a rather large collection of Robin/Nightwing fanatic, because they're just so pretty together, but I vastly prefer an actually brotherly dynamic between the two, rather than a romantic one.

Zuko/Jet from ATLA. Two very attractive animated menfolk, but the thought of them actually getting together was horrifying to me.

Thor/Loki. It's so wrong, and yet...

Alexis/Ryan on Castle. But it has to be set once she's in college, and then given their age difference always has to be something she initiates while he's having a moment of weakness.

Otherwise it's just skeevy and is why I generally avoid the pairing.

Wincest.

The first pairing I shipped for SPN was Dean/Castiel, but damn, Wincest has the hottest porn!

More of a doujin thing, but Roxas/Sora.

Tex/Carolina

Cronus/Mituna oh dear god

I actually read porn for that pairing to get a better feel for writing porn for other pairings, since there's so much of it. :)

I see her more as his protege then as a love interest, but there's some pretty, pretty fanart of them floating around the net.

Not necessarily for the porn (although I enjoyed that aspect, too) but more often for how they got from point a to point b (point b being the porn - or, in more PG fic, just the HEA with the porn to come merely implied,) Snape/Harry. For some reason, that ship produced some amazingly rich and satisfying fic. I've been in a lot of big fandoms, had a lot of OTPs, including some juggernauts, but rarely have I seen fic as good as the best Snape/Harry.

Maybe my taste has changed, or the writers I particularly liked moved on, because I hardly ever find that the new fics being written and recced hit the sweet spot for me. But every once in a while, I have a yen for it and I'll try again and then am sad when I'm disappointed.

...That's actually.. I don't know kind of a kink for me?
It's weird but if I'm just looking for straight up porn I want pairs I don't ship. I don't even have an explanation or anything.

Harry/Ginny. I don't ship, but for some reason I think the porn is really hot.

Wesley/anyone from Buffy and Angel. I don't ship him with anyone except Fred, but I will read smut with him paired with anyone. Particularly Spike.
