Same. I had the misfortune of meeting a Who fan two Halloweens ago. They were wearing a gas mask of some sort and going up to everyone on campus and asking, “Are you my Mommy.” I was extremely uncomfortable when she came right up to my face and asked me this. I don’t understand what she was asking and she treated me like an idiot. From then on she bugged the shit out of me. All her references and noise making (I think it was the theme song?) was really uncalled for. Hey, I’m a fan as much as the next person…just don’t let your life be centered on one fandom/tv show and expect everyone to love you/watch what you watch. As they say…it only takes on fan to ruin the whole fandom for you.

If it was just Halloween, they were just acting in character.

I guess the real issue is not really with Whovians but people who costume in character regardless of who the audience is.
