But, honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath. And lolling at someone thinking intelligence is a resson to fan Padalecki. He's not a complete idiot but c'mon.

Padalecki isn't stupid though, he was an honours student, candidate for the presidential scholars program and won the national forensic league tournament in 1998. Say what you want about him but the dude has brains.

Doing well in school doesn't make you smart and he presents himself as a doofus anyway so fanning yourself over his intelligence is weird.

Well maybe it just proves that someone can be both intelligent on an intellectual level, and a doofus on an every day behavioural level.

I personally think his "doofus-ness" is cute and amusing.

Also, clarification - he won the NFL's /Duo Interpretation/ category, which is basically acting.

As someone currently headed to regionals for GD, I had a moment of "O.O" when I saw that, because damn, if he'd won in GD/LD/PF/CX/etc., my respect for him would have skyrocketed.

I'm so old. I competed in LD/CX (and all the speech categories except Extemp) back in the day (and I remember his Duo partner Chris Cardenas - though he wouldn't remember me), but I don't know what GD or PF are.

Being a third party American is as bad as being a Republican. It's leaving the less fortunate to suffer because you can afford to get by while clinging to your hopeless ideals.

But why are they Republicans? I mean, if they're poor, the Republican party has it in for them. Ditto if they're not white, male, a certain sort of Christian, able-bodied, cis, or straight. Unless they're hoping that the Republicans squash some other minority group that they dislike before turning their attention to them.

Word choice. Third party (unless they're the new brand of "independent" that's just a front for tea-baggers) probably wouldn't have called his intelligence into question, they might have expressed disappointment, but are used to the world ignoring them, so wouldn't have been surprised at.

So true! OP could be from outside the States! Except... I couldn't think of a single other country in the entire world that would have celebrated a Romney win. I tried, I really did.
