If you don't want to be disappointed in celebrities, don't follow them on Twitter. This goes for pretty much everyone, regardless of politics.
That being said, this is obviously bait since I doubt any Republican is unaware of the fact that most of fandom leans left, especially socially. (Further left than the Democrats, usually.)

But you can respect someone as a performer and not know anything about them as a person, sometimes for me it's better that way.
Misha Collins is probably the only SPN person I'd definitely follow, but that's because he's hilarious on twitter (and when he's not being hilarious he's doing charity, so it's hard not to like him.)
