I think "theist" or "deist" are your best options. Theism requires belief in a god of some description, but shouldn't really impose worship on the individual. Unfortunately, the meaning has evolved into something more like the major single deity religions.

Deism requires belief in one or more gods, but rejects revelation i.e. we as humans are capable of knowing the existence of god(s) through our own experience. Whilst deism doesn't require worship, it does seem to be more specific than pure-terms theism.

However, the reader's perception of theism is often through a single god, major religion glass, which can severely colour the perception. If you are writing a fic I would suggest starting with deism, simply because your readers are less likely to assume they know what you mean by it.
