If I had a nickel every time I've seen a Neil Gaiman adaptation planned for television or a movie that never panned out, I'd be a wealthy woman.

This does look pretty legit, though.

What's wrong with crossover fic? Some people like them and they've been around for decades. They're not difficult to avoid. Let the people squee.

I know they're easy to avoid, I'm just grumpy today. Normally I'll squee and let squee with the best of them! (I don't enjoy crossovers mostly because I have been consistently disappointed with them in the past, but I know that's purely subjective).

I'm mostly really surprised with myself that whenever I see a new show/movie my first thoughts are about what the fandom will be like, instead of just enjoying or not on the canon's merits. My fandom goggles are so tight these days and I'm not even active in fandom anymore. :(
