I think in this case it's more that this specific character is not bisexual. Even if OP has never read the books, the movie canon alone spells out on more than one occasion that Bond is heterosexual.

Well, it spells out that he's out and out /not gay/. If only because he's definitely an enthusiastic womanizer.

But bi isn't really out the window at all.
