hey listen

making up imaginary stories about characters from fiction is serious business. it's so shallow to come up with imaginary stories about characters from fiction sleeping together just because they happen to be attractive. it's so much more authentic and real if you come up with stories about imaginary characters from fiction having deep, passionate relationships with each other. it's much more worthwhile.

I've been a Bond fan since Moonraker. Let's face it, Bond has always been about flirting, humour and insanity. Not to ship him with anyone that breathes is unthinkable. Just enjoy the ride.

Daniel Craig has gone on record saying he is very much in support of James Bond being bisexual, and wouldn't mind having a "Bond Boy" instead of a "Bond Girl" in a movie someday.
And this wasn't like, this year, this was in 2006 or 2007.

This is one of the many reasons I love Daniel Craig.

My two major dreams for the franchise are either a Bond Boy, or Idris Elba as the next Bond.

Actually, considering how they each represented the theme and conflict of the film, how charged their interaction was, and how their cooperation was representative of the reconciliation of old and new, I think there's quite a few non-shallow reasons to be interested in their interaction (whether it's platonic or not).

Of course, there's nothing wrong with the shallow reasons either!

I don't even care that I'm resurrecting a months-old thread, because of some of the erroneous protestations in this thread.

It actually is canonical that James Bond is sexually curious. If anyone's ever read "007 in New York", you can read a fascinating and kind of hilarious bit with him fantasizing about bringing a lady friend to a bunch of kinky sex clubs, even a BDSM joint.

If Bond is curious about BDSM, I really don't think he would flinch too hard about a little bit of same-sex lovin'. JUST SAYIN'. Bond just liked sex, period.
