We understand it but that's just how these things work. A new system comes out and they eventually stop supporting the old one. Why the hell would Nintendo want to make new, big-name games for not the current system?

well, yeah, but-- so? that doesn't mean the OP can't be sad or make a venty secret. i don't really see why everyone's being so bizarrely callous and "WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD JACKASS" over a fuckin "i'm sad i can't play animal crossing" secret??

I get the impression that we all just feel it's ridiculous to complain about something that is a normal part of doing business.

They're saying they "loathe nintendo" and "want to cry" and while that may be tongue-in-cheek it doesn't really make me feel sorry for OP, sure they have the right to whine but at the end of the day it's something all gamers have had to deal with, we can't all afford every system and we know eventually companies are going to put a game we want on another system.

Plus regardless of how the secret was worded people are going to respond with "Buy a 3ds" because outside of maybe borrowing a friend's, that is the solution to OP's problem. Want to play the new animal crossing? Buy a 3ds. It is not some unsolvable problem, it's just that OP, for whatever reason be it money or hating the new system, doesn't want the 3ds.
