When I worked for a supermarket, we had to wear vests. I usually had a smaller version of the Next Gen communicator pin on the vest with a Cardassian Union symbol on my shirt underneath.

Once a couple of fans came through my line and they noticed my communicator pin. We chatted about the latest episode. As they were leaving I pulled my vest aside to show to show off the Cardassian pin and said something about their activities being reported to the order.

A couple of weeks later, they were back in the store, but went though another line. As they were leaving the husband came up behind me, tapped me on the shoulder and said that I was reported to the Federation.

My husband and I have been working our way through DS9 lately (just beginning to end, to fill in any gaps) and man, I find myself literally shouting at times, "Why are Cardassians my FAAAAAAVORITES"? XD

Garak was always my favorite characters, but upon rewatching I have this renewed appreciation for him, and Cardassians in general.

I actually purchased a set of latex prosthetics that I've worn to a few cons (with just some 'civilian' clothing- dress, silver jewelry, and the like) but one day I'd like to make a uniform. XD
