Agreed. I think Spanish can be a very pretty language, but my dad is trying to learn it, and keeps the radio in his car on a seriously obnoxious Spanish-language radio station with a lot of yelling and stupid call-in stuff and crappy music and it makes me wonder how I ever liked that language.

Ah, I understand completely. Radio, for some reason, really can make someone who sounds fantastic sound completely awful and vice versa. Not just because of the technology but also because of the atmosphere of the radio show.
