Re: Ugliest language?

I watched Flame & Citron (which is in Danish with some German and a little French iirc) with my mom who speaks German. She said the Danish was driving her crazy because it was just close enough to German for her to kind of understand a little and pick up some cognates, but that it was like they were mumbling everything. Then in the scenes in German the same actors were completely clear to her, so it was the language not the actors.
