"YOU HAVE NO HEART/SOUL or YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING."
This sounds like it's none of their freaking business, what the hell.

I straddle the artificial line between high and low functioning, so I have to wonder if I'm not hitting the fuck out of the Uncanny Valley all the time and just don't know it.
Re: What was the meanest thing someone has ever said to you, FS?
(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 03:05 am (UTC)(link)I've noticed (from my own experiences [not autistic, but for most of my childhood I couldn't read people and social situations to save my life nor really control my own emoting] and from watching other people): you can be the politest, most helpful person ever, and if you're not smiling or giving off the right non-verbal cues that people are expecting in the situation they're expecting, some people will get spooked or even offended.
The good news is that not all people are like this, and there is a good chance that if you keep changing your social circle you are bound to find people who don't really care how you emote or whatever and know to respect your boundaries, and who will appreciate that you are trying to respect theirs in return.
