Yeah, DILF is great, but it's not because it was very true to canon. Which is fine, just not what everyone looks for in a fic, even an AU.

Yeah, and sometimes for me it's just how they read how werewolves act, instead of what they are actually like in the show. Or making Scott really stupid (I'm not saying he is gonna be in MENSA anytime soon, but he's not the DUMBEST person in the world). OH when people think Stiles would ever pick the pack over his father. (There is an future!fic where Stiles ran out of Beacon Hills and never even visited his father and lost touch with him...and what we have seen in the show, that is just NOT going to happen to me)

So much on your last point.

A lot of fics have Stiles telling his father too about werewolves, and while I`m fine for situation reveals (Alpha whatever shifts in front of him, fine) but Stiles hasn`t given any indication in the series (even if it would`ve been much better for him to have his dad in the know) of wanting to sit down and tell his father. This could be for numerous reasons, but I think the simplest reason is that Stiles and Scott are foils of each other.

Sorry, it makes sense in my head. It`s just a pet peeve of mine when authors explain the sheriff as being in the know with a simple `And before college, Stiles sat down and explained to his father about werewolves and his father was hunky-dory about it.`

UGH THANK YOU. It constantly annoys me when people don't get how much Stiles truly loves his father and wouldn't let the pack destroy that relationship no matter what.

I think the Sheriff will find out in the end, buuuut like not just sitting him down and calmly telling him about the werewolves. I have a feeling his reveal is gonna go down a lot like how Mama Mccall found out, in the middle of a horrible life or death situation, and Stiles has done everything to stop him from finding out, because he feels like it is going to save his dad's life.

And I see the Sheriff being even more freaked out and NOT OKAY with werewolves because, unlike Mama McCall, his son isn't one, so the Sheriff can easily say: "You need to stay the fuck away from this."
