Hobbit help!

(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
I'm designing the cover of my newspaper's entertainment section this week, and it's focusing on The Hobbit, which I have never read. I think I've mostly got the layout figured out, but I'm also wanting to incorporate a line or phrase that is quintessential to the story. Like, if it were LoTR, something from the "One ring to find them..." quote.

Is there something like that for The Hobbit? Something other than Gollum and his Precious?

The opening paragraph is wonderful.

"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole and that means comfort."
