I'm totally cool with them nullifying it. Some of the stuff I've read/heard about was just plain awful. It was messy, unnecessary, and pretty boring.

I think it's ridiculous to expect Disney to try and adapt all that crap. Rather than putting new, fresh, legitimately GOOD talent with new ideas--actual filmmakers who grew up loving Star Wars--they should adapt the work of some two-bit fanfic author?

The EU won't disappear from existence. I'd rather them have the power to make an entirely new canon, a fresh one, that's not mired in the decades of inconsistent crap from the books and comics.

Also it will mean that Revan isn't canon male anymore hahahhahaha

It's not like they're going to do anything that overwrites the Old Republic stuff - I mean, I assume that nothing they do with the new movies is going to touch stuff from that period at all, really. So it's as canon as it ever was.

Seriously, Revan not being canon male anymore would be FANTASTIC. (Frankly, I think she ought to go back Dark Side, too, because COME ON THE GODDAMN JEDI BRAINWASHED HER HELLLLLO, but I've accepted that's a pipe dream since apparently Revan Must Be A Hero.)

Unfortunately, like the other commenter said, they're unlikely to change that, especially with Revan being presented as male in the SWTOR game. :/

I used to RP Anakin Skywalker in a comm with a Revan. And she was female. I just sort of thought that was the way it was for a long time until I realized that "canonically" she was supposed to be male. So even now Revan in my head is female. And completely badass.

You KIND OF have to have the reproductive organs to do that. Cause she certainly wasn't adopted.

Not knocking the Revan is a woman theory. I actually like that theory and that is one of my favorite mini-story quests in SWTOR, but.....

I'm not sure what you're trying to say...?

Revan was made canonically male for the EU. We know this for a fact. Some people would prefer if either there was no canon Revan or Revan had been canon female.

What I'm saying is, if he were canonically female, we wouldn't have Satele Shan. As she had to come from somewhere and she was Bastila Shan's grand kid (i think. or just a descendant). Either way. And it's canonical that Revan and Bastila Shan were married and I believe a child came from them before he disappeared.

So making him canonically female would completely rewrites all of that.

As I said, do I wish he was female? Yes. Cause that would be epic. But it destroys so much that's already canon at this point.

Bolded for the fact that I agree that were changed, as I love the idea. But canon is canon right now.

Maybe Bastila had a one night stand like Anakin's mother and F!Revan "blessed" the child with her life force.

My Revan will always be F!Revan, no matter how TOR tries to convince me.

Anakin's mom didn't have a one night stand. She literally had a force baby that Palpatine manipulated force into creating.

Sorry, facts are facts. even though I like the Fem!Revan idea.

Revan is canonically female. Every time I play it on my Xbox, I look up at the TV and she's female. :-p
