IA, but fandom is far more interested in seeing grown men weeping in their bedrooms over minor miscommunications and cuddling on the couch in their sweatpants stroking each other's hair and watching Disney movies than being badasses, unless the badassness involves murdering rapists without a trial or threatening to destroy the credit scores and careers of people who mildly annoy them.

Also, gunkink is hard to portray in the written medium of fic.

...So...basically 'Unless they make Captain America into Americop' [At least as far as murdering without a trial goes]? 'Cause, iirc, Captain was actually pretty disturbed by Americop the like...one time they worked together.
