if you can't have everyone dressing properly, everyone dressing like porn stars is better than just the women dressing like that...

I was going to write a similar comment, but I came to the same conclusion you did and realized I was chasing my tail.

People are always going to have an appetite for the ridiculous, it just really sucks when that's only ever applied in one direction, and when it's seen as totally normal and unquestioned. If we have to do it, let's make sure we're all clear on how ridiculous it is.
