(Anonymous) 2012-12-13 12:43 am (UTC)(link)People DO mind when characters like Rogue or Captain Marvel (I'm having trouble thinking of non-hypersexualized DC characters) are dressed that way because they're not characters that would choose to dress in a revealing, sexy way on a day-to-day or combat basis. I don't hold it against them that sometimes they might...but usually they don't.
People would like to see a scaling back of sexy women, and some others would also like to see an increase of male ones to match.
There's no hypocrisy, there's just a desire for equality.
