i'm glad LoK was made because it's a fantastic show and it's great but let's ignore that and just talk about fandoms for a second

you miss the pre-LoK ATLA fandom

because it was "mellow"

and "homey"???

this is the fandom that unleashed zutara vs. kataang on the world, holy shit

Agree to disagree because I thought LoK was pretty awful aside from the animation quality, but otherwise, MTE. Anyone calling ATLA fandom "mellow" is out of their gourd.

I'm not talking 2005-2008 ATLA fandom, but more of 2010/2011 ATLA fandom.

Although I did love the old ship wars for the "OMG GUYS, WHAT WHAT WHAT ARE WE DOING" value. (I got into the show/fandom in 2006.)

There really wasn't a difference between 2008 and 2010/11 fandom, though.
