Merthur won't happen and I'm glad of it tbh. The only way I would have been okay with Merthur is if they'd done an equally awesome Gwen/Morgana romance. I miss Merlin of yore when I OT4ed the four leads and legitimately bought that they all had cool connections with each other.

To be honest I was gone when they decided to make Morgana evil. I don't care if it's mythologically accurate. This show is so far from being that, that it hardly works as an excuse.

Just the idea of being 'mythologically accurate' makes me LOL. Particularly with Arthurian stuff. Arthurian legend has always been more wibbly-wobbly than Doctor Who (Malory and then T.H. White tried to make sense of it, but didn't really).

Yeah I agree. It's one of the reasons it causes me to side-eye to when people insist upon such things. Arthurian legend is really kind of an open thing?
