You know, with the way this is worded [and the 'SO FEW PEOPLE IN FANDOM HAVE A BACHELORS' bit], I'mma go with humble brag. Sorry if that's not how you meant it, but that's how it comes off - at least to me.

ikr. fucking excuse you, OP. not everyone in fandom cares to mention/brag about their level of education or any other major detail relating to their offline life.

Most of FANDOM has their bachelors if they're over the age of 23 and live in the US. This is why it's always the fandom SJW that like to complain about the student loan debt.

IKR? Tons of people in fandom have advanced university degrees.

They're not hard to get..

As a college librarian, I'm a little annoyed that OP seems to think we're mutually exclusive with Masters degrees and academia. Actually, I'm annoyed that jobs like teacher and librarian (careers!) are grouped in with "work at Wal-Mart" (job, typically, not career). One of these things doesn't belong.

Agreed. Also, do some fucking research, OP. You need a MA to be a librarian in most places. It's not like being librarian or a teacher is somehow "less" than working in politics or whatever it is the OP does.

I also dislike the implication that the fandom only attracts uneducated people. Plenty of people around here have college degrees, and many have advanced or multiple degrees.
