What are some things that help jump start you on writing/help you along when you're stuck working on a fic [fanfic or original]?

Someone else pressuring me, tbh. If I feel like there's someone really looking forward to reading my story, it's easier for me to finish.

Oh yes, please... I could use a suggestion or two...

or ten, even.....

(Fanfic writer has been very stuck very long)

I go back and proofread through the past few pages. It not only lets me catch typos and awkward wording, it gives me ideas of how to proceed.

putting down what i'm actualy going to write as a plan. like, one or two sentences of what has to happen in the story.

another thing i do is take a break and do something physical like going for a run or baking, where i can just switch my brain off.
or i'll think about what it is i have to write and just let my mind wander and generate new ideas.

and sometimes i'll just be stuck for ages and there's nothing i can do but wait for it to pass. :/

Starting with whatever I want to write first for the fic, even if it's not the beginning.
Also, being stressed has caused me to turn to writing something I already had to do and actually made me write.

For WIPs I get stuck on, I go back and rewrite the whole thing up from start to the place I'm stuck at. I literally retype every sentence, even if I don't make any edits to the original sentence (it's rare, I generally end up changing 90% of the sentences, even if it's just a word).

And it works for me. Doesn't matter how far along in the fic I am (longest fic I've done it with was at around 20,000 words when I started the rewrite). It feels incredible, and it's fun too :)

...mow the lawn.

Seriously. Or wash dishes. Both work for jumpstarting either what I'm currently working on, or that's when I'll suddenly get a great idea for a new story or new characters.

Reading my fandom's kinkmeme, or browsing Ao3. I'll almost always hit something that makes me think either, "Wow, that was awesome, I'm inspired to write something that great too!" or "Wow, that was shitty and is Doing It Wrong, now I feel a need to write something better than that!"

I uhhhh... I can't actually. I literally spend days doing no writing until one day inspiration knocks on my door. Once I start writing the first line, or outlining the entire thing, I can zip along like a bullet train. It's the waiting for that first line that kills me.

Also, music really helps. Especially if I'm doing a specific kind of scene. I had the Sherlock Holmes (RDJude) soundtrack going on when I write action, that kind of thing. It really, really, REALLY help with the rhythm of the sentences.

Time limits. I was stuck on writing for weeks, then I signed up for a time-limited challenge. Each fic had to be completed in two hours or less. It's liberating knowing that I can't work on it endlessly, and the readers won't expect me to have caught every little thing in just two hours. And it's motivating to know I've been assigned it and people are expecting it.

I haven't found a way to duplicate the experience on my own, though.

Drinking a glass of water (flavored water or juice if you need something sweet, just not soda) and taking a short walk outside, with music that either doesn't have lyrics or is in a language I don't understand.

The water keeps me from getting dehydrated, the walk helps with blood flow to the brain as well as the body, the fresh air and sunshine are nice for ambiance (and vitamin D, I guess), and the music provides pleasant mental stimulation without distracting me from the matter of the story.
