Yeah, but...c'mon. You really think Disney is going to make two of their Disney Princesses gay?

Well, I don't see them releasing a "remastered" version of Sleeping Beauty anytime soon, but in the context of this show I wouldn't put it past them. They've already killed off Cinderella's fairy godmother and her adorable mouse friend and completely overwrote the Beast, and had Snow White sleep with Doctor Frankenstein, I really don't see a little bit of making out between two beautiful ladies who love eachother being out of the question. I mean, the show has a very strong "true love conquers all" theme that implies that Aurora and Philip are endgame, but it ain't over 'til it's over.

The Mulan that fell in love with Shang still exists, but meanwhile this Mulan hasn't met a Shang yet. There might not even be a Shang in this story, or he may already be dead. Until she meets him I have no way of knowing if he's a better fit with Mulan than Aurora is, and I hardly think Mulan needs to be sitting around celibately waiting for someone who may not even exist.

I don't think who they kill off bothers Disney, and the Beast's character was more or less made over, rather than simply destroyed (you'll notice that they make sure to parallel Belle ending up with the Beast, rather than just Rumpelstiltskin), and Snow still ends up with her prince. Considering the show is actually implying Mulan like Phillip, I don't think love triangles are out of the question, but rather we're not going to see anything but the canon love interests from Disney end up together.

Anyway, ship whom you will, but I hope you don't turn into one of those fans that gets pissed and declares the creators evil when their mostly made-up ship is not canon at the end (i.e. Zutarians, Harmonians).

The show is basically a fantasy version of Desperate Housewives, I really don't see where lesbian sex is the one great taboo for Disney that try can't possibly allow when they let them get away with so much else.

Because people are regularly exposed to everything else except the gay sex part. People won't get indignant about that. They WILL get indignant about this.

They wouldn't be allowed to get away with *a lot* of things, actually.
