It has nothing to do with pleasing men and everything to do with pleasing their own desires for attention, sexual and otherwise. Sorry, but your comment implies that this is a thing that women normally do, and it perpetuates a BAD STEREOTYPE that, as you can see from this entire thread-conversation, is a pervasive problem. What you are doing reflects badly on other women when you don't specify "this is just me" and make comments that make it sound like this is the normal motivation. It's also kind of a shitty thing to do, just saying.
