Re: Episode morals that make you mad?

It came across to me that he was only conflicted when it became really personal. Like, Waters on Mars he was frightening, but then was like "omg I'm a dick-IS THIS WHERE I DIE?! FORGET ABOUT THE HUMANS TELL ME ABOUT ME!" Like it was only a problem if he was effected.

Never once did he compare himself to others. He constantly berated humans and whatever self-realisation he came to was always overshadowed by his martyr-complex and self-righteousness. Even when he realised he was a dick, he never bothered to change himself. I mean, his last line was "I don't want to go".

He was a sociopath though, you're right on the ball there. He was an interesting character: but not a likable one.

It's a shame because when he's doing the silly, fun stuff he's completely charming. Interesting, what you find out about someone when you give them power.

This is kinda true. And frustrating, because there were so many opportunities for him to make big realizations and show awesome character growth and be five times as awesome due his realization and growth than he would be if he had been perfect from the beginning...and every single time, it was instead handled in such a self-centered, problematic way.

It was like RTD thought that the viewers wouldn't be able to empathize or care about Ten's problems unless it was all about him and his personal feelings. Argh.
