There's actually this guy that shops at my LCS and every couple of weeks he tries to trip me up. You'd think he'd learn after the lecture on the West Coast Avengers...

Flash's Rogues are awesome though! You should be encouraged to educate the population on their awesomeness! :D I don't read a lot of DC (and by not a lot I mean next to none with a few exceptions) but that's a group of characters I think I could definitely read a whole lot about.

Man, I got something similar working at my LCS. Had a regular who would always come in and ask for recommendations - when I'd recommend what I was currently reading, he'd mock whatever it was and then start going on about his own favorites - without getting into more detail, it was needlessly condescending and pretentious. After a while, when he'd come in and ask for recommendations, I just started telling him I didn't read comics...which he was really quick to believe, forgetting all our previous conversations. It did lead to moments like this though:
Him: *walks in*
Me: *sitting behind the counter reading a comic*
Him: So, what would you recommend? - oh wait, you don't read comics, right?
Me: *turns page* yup.

Oy. Just... oy. *facepalm* You have my sympathies. That's a truly epic level of stupid on his part.

Some guys don't learn. They just figure you got lucky. Or, more likely, that sure, you might be a fan of those things, but a real fan also knows everything about every nerdy hobby backwards and forwards.

Heh. I'm more of a DC gal, or I was prior to the reboot. Flash's Rogues are the most awesome of supervillain families. There are plenty of ice/fire/toy/sonic/weather themed super-folk, but I've never seen a team quite like the Rogues.

Never did read West Coast Avengers. Though given my love a B-list superteams (like the afore mentioned Rogues, and the JLI) I probably should.

The fun part now is that his buddies know it's going to happen and if he starts pulling "It didn't happen like that" stuff, he gets shot down by them too. LOL

There's some... questionable stuff in WCA, but I love the characters and the dynamics (when certain archers aren't being assholes anyway).
