Aw, I love that kind of thing. Some of the best skits on The Carol Burnett Show were the ones where they couldn't help breaking up.

That was my first thought when I read this, too.

I'm pretty sure Tim Conway spent his whole time on that show trying to make the rest of the cast crack up.

Not the rest of the cast so much as Harvey Korman - he's admitted to making it his goal on the show to get Harvey to corpse as much as possible. Getting Carol or Vicki would be a bonus, but Harvey was his target.
