fwiw, I didn't think it was the worst thing ever, like everybody else seems to. Yeah, some scenes look a little 'fake', but I think that's as much down to extreme cgi as to the frame rate. And I totally didn't get the 'daytime soap opera' feeling that so many people seem to be complaining about. Honestly I thought it was no big deal - no significant improvement, but no significant awfulness either.

I have other criticisms (like HOLY SHIT WILL SOMEONE GET PETER JACKSON AN EDITOR), but I think the framerate thing is hugely exaggerated.
