explain how Aidan Turner its any description of "stout"

Because Elijah Wood is totally 3 feet tall, amirite?

No, but he still looked like a hobbit. Also Elijah Wood is the type of guy who kind of looks like he could pass for a hobbit -- Aidan Turner doesn't pass for a dwarf.

They didn't make Turner look stout or dwarfish--all they did to him was give him long hair and pointy ears. Beyond that he looks like a normal person. All the other dwarves at least had *some* measure of makeup or prosthetics.
