So, I've been watching a bit of the Walking Dead because I enjoy zombies and horror and I figured why not. I'm not actually enjoying it very much for a variety of reasons, but the thing that is honestly bugging me the most about it is all the CGI blood. I hate, hate, HATE CGI blood with a passion, and it just seems especially jarring, given how good the zombie make-up is.

... this comment really has very little point. I just needed to vent.

That's actually the reason why I can't watch the show. The blood sprays are too unrealistic and it drives me crazy. Why couldn't they just use liquid filled bladders?

EXACTLY! I'm for using practical effects in lieu of CGI wherever possible, but I understand why they choose to go with CGI in some cases. But CGI blood is the one thing I cannot forgive. I realize using fake blood involves more mess/clean-up, but it's not exactly a super costly effect and the results are worth the extra time.

It actually is a quite a bit more costly, and you are completely ignorant for trying to make the point that it's not.

I hate CGI blood too, but it is cheaper to do. I know the show has budget issues.
