Except that just not calling yourself a brony doesn't work. In one of my comments above, I mentioned that just saying "my older brother and I were watching/discussing MLP" is always met with shouts of "BRONY!" even though he doesn't use that term, and I don't use it for him. One of the responses to that comment? (Paraphrasing here): "If he doesn't want people to think he's an asshole dudebro, he shouldn't call himself a brony." Okay, then.
