Yeah, New Who is to Classic Who a lot like, say, Deep Space Nine was to TOS.

All have good stories and acting, but I think that whether you'll like the older stuff depends partly on your tolerance for cheesy sets, costumes and SFX, and partly on your ability to recognize how the older shows fit into the culture of their times (especially on matters of gender, sexuality, and race).

(And this viewpoint of mine is probably because I grew up watching TOS and Classic Who.)

.....it also depends on your ability to enjoy Classic!Who without having to overthink and apply all these SJW PC labels / "metanarrative" garbage onto it....
