You mean the Sami? See above. You mean the Roma? They're not native in that sense, because they're nomads originating in India who've settled (in a sense) all over the place. You mean the native Swedes, Norwegians, Danes, Finns, and Icelanders? Fairly certain they're white.

It's probably that white = people with white skin from the right countries. Everyone else is not white, not matter their skin tone or their ancestors.

Historical trivia time! Did you know that Italians weren't considered "white" in the United States in the earlier part of the 20th century?

Or-let's see--Polish or Irish people, and probably throw in people from most of eastern Europe for good measure.

It's the Sj definition of white, I think. They don't believe that any ethnic minority can be pale-skinned, hence ethnic minority = not white no matter where they live or what they actually look like. It's kind of a bizarre selective blind spot.

Can only speak for Sweden, but we managed to elect a racist party into our supreme decision-making body, took part in the slave trade, and have a long history of treating minorities badly. Including Roma and Sami.

Uh, yeah. But I'm pretty sure that the biggest reason for WHY the racist party was voted into it at all is because the rest of our fucking politicians are so afraid of "seeming racist" or being "non-pc" that they refuse to discuss anything to do with immigration, which leads to more immigration than we can handle, bigger differences between the Swedes and the immigrants, more and more out of work immigrants (not to mention that with the economic down turn, more people in general being out of work), more poor immigrants stealing, and so on so forth.

The SD is gaining due to large parts of the population growing increasingly irritated and tired of our fucked up immigration policies.

NA. Sounds like the same thing that's happening in every country with a so-called populist party. The governing parties refuse to talk about the immigration policies, and because the "populist" party is the only one voicing criticism, people see them as the only option available.
